Winter to Spring

Howdy, friends (I'm already developing the Texas lingo).
With some more time on my hands here in the Lone Star State I thought I'd post some highlights from the brief time Clay and I shared together before being separated again:

Clay was in his old roommie's wedding in Texas (congrats Drew and Tina! Beautiful wedding!). We spent 3 days in Houston preparing and celebrating with them:

In February, we basked and played in the cold winter sunshine on Lake Winnepausauke with our church's winter retreat:

We went skiing with a bunch of internationals (and gave some of them their first exposure to the sport!). What a blessing to have lots of winter fun while I was back in New England.

And now I face to a few too many weeks, without my husband :(, in Texas where their spring is our summer and nothing is within walking distance of anything else. I've been spoiled by the user-friendliness of Boston and can't fathom how this place where I'm staying really is just in between a bunch of highways with no natural beauty to enjoy or any within walking distance! Oh well, I'll just have to enjoy that patch of grass outside my window.

Have a blessed Easter!

Wow, your life seems such a wonderful, beautiful adventure. I'm so happy for you! I'd love to e-chat and say hello. You've done such amazing things since the A&B days. I'd love the chance to catch up. I tried emailing at hotmail but didn't hear back. If you'd like, I'd love to say hello! Kate from A&B, aka kateland_photo at hotmail dot com. :^)

Thanks for not giving up on the blog! I love the pictures and am glad (based on phone message) that you are back in the same state for a while. We love you two and you always have a place waiting for you to come and find refuge in Cali.
