The week of July 4th took us to Virginia to Clay's hometown for the first time since we had been married. We had just celebrated our 6-month mark of marriage and Clay's mom threw us a reception with friends and family that couldn't make it to the wedding. Donna was so generous and sweet in putting the whole thing together for us so we could just enjoy. She knows us too well because she put together an ice cream sundae bar! Yum! Just what we wanted at the wedding but what logistics couldn't allow - well, we got it now :) I was also able to meet some family and friends for the first time.
Can you guess what else we did? Well, if you've read any of this blog you can probably guess that it involved rocks (specifically, climbing them). We went with Clinton (Clay's brother) and a new friend Elisa. What a beautiful place to climb (never knew the Blue Ridge Mountains existed before I met Clay).

Check out Clay's parents new house that they're building!
