Ladies Night

What a better way to celebrate an impending marriage than to be treated by some of my favorite ladies at Park Street (Church)! Theresa and Laura treated us to a night out on the town. Thanks to these generous sisters we donned our evening wear, dined at Excelsior (overlooking the Boston Gardens), and desserted (is that a word?) at Finale. At Excelsior a woman at our neighboring table observed the four of us trying to take pictures of each other and offered to take a group picture of us (which I don't have here - hint, hint, Theresa). What a nice lady - imagine, even in this cold town you can still find friendly strangers :) Laura observed the owner/manager of the restaurant spend a long time chatting with this woman and as we were leaving, we found out from a waiter that the woman was Anita Hill. You see, my knowledge of political happenings in the early 90s is non-existent so I had no idea who this woman was. Neither did the other girls! Well, in case you don't know - you should google her (we did!). Turns out she's a lawyer who accused a man nominated for the Supreme Court of sexual harrassment in 1992 (1993?). Who knew? We certainly didn't. But we had a great time and I felt extremely blessed by these friends. Thanks, sisters!
Check out these beautiful desserts at Finale!

Your desserts look amazing!! What presentation- hopefully they tasted as good as they looked. Thanks for the update... gosh, I love knowing more about the ins and outs of your weeks.

Oh, by the way, I don't think the bed will fit in our 4 runner. but if you know someone with a truck we can get it to you that way. Let me know if you can think of anyone.
