We got up at 4am to drive to the top of Cadillac Mountain to see the sunrise. Cadillac Mountain is the first place in the U.S. to see the sun everyday (as it's the tallest mountain on the eastern shores). We also went rock climbing right on the ocean! There are few places on the East Coast where you can climb next to the sea, and this was beautiful! We had to rappel down in order to climb up and it's one of those places where you can't climb at high tide...
Clay rappelling...
Larissa climbing...
Praise the Lord for that rope! Doesn't it look fun?
We went biking around the coast...
Check it out! We were inspired by our friends Jenelle and Cameron Lemons to try our hand at making earth art in this tranquil pond we biked around.
Can you see our creation in the water? We tried making a star inside a circle out of the pink granite rocks that are prolific in the area.
Can you see Clay reflected in the glasses?
After a morning of rock climbing, we took time to enjoy the scenery from the cliff...It's amazing to see the diversity and beauty of God's creation and such a gift for us to enjoy it!

How beautiful!!!!!
We're all warm and fuzzy inside right now :) We loved your earth art and are so glad that the movement is spreading.
Wow- we couldn't believe how cool that climbing looked right next to the ocean. It looked like you two got the true taste of Acadia. We loved acadia as well, In fact I think that we biked the same path that you did! Unfortunately it was pouring much of the time that we were there, so cadillac mountian didn't have any view- but it was nice to live vicariously through your pictures :)
We wish we lived closer so that we could share in these amazing gifts of God together... but we appreciate your blog and feel like we do get to share in it a little.
Way to go Clay on the Job!!! God is so faithful... it's so fun to be children of God. Impossible things become possible. Red sea's get crossed and unqualified kids get the only jobs they applied for (both you and cameron have similar stories in your recent job aquistions). What a delight to have a father who delights over us.
We love you dearly!
Jenelle
